Who is the expert on preban Sile imports? I'm trying to narrow down when my Sile was imported. I even have the original manual too.

Guessing by the attempt at making the rifle seem so evil by designating it "AKM-47S", which the Chinese thought might break that hated "commie weapon" barrier in the US, I would guess it was imported around 1987. After that name didn't work, they changed it to the correct for the Chinese "56S".

The only writing on the trunion is the serial number.

Does the serial number start with "M"?
