hello everyone just introducing myself, ive recently began acquiring firearms (a taurus 24/7 oss ds in .45 acp, and a wasr-10 in 7.62x39mm both excellent) and just wanted to say how insanely addictive it is. being an active duty submariner i shoot about once a year to maintain "proficiency" and have always made expert pistolshot and "marksman" rifleman (dunno i just crap out on the m-16 sights, they are so funky i always switch over to the "night sight" mode) but ive grown up around guns and shot them most my life and only up until recently purchased my own, and after that ive been visiting the range about once a week at least  please be patient with me as i am a "google expert" lol, and i may ask a bunch of dumb questions and i have a habit of jumping into buys without research so i joined hoping to get some good advice from guys that have owned and shot a greater variety of firearms and know a thing or two. for ex, i bought a wasr-10 for $600 (plus tax) when literally two shops down they had one (new) for $400... sigh. impulse buys. and i was out to buy grocerys that day (sidestory never got the groceries, lol, wife was SO angry [doubly])

anyways ive typed a short novel so HULLO to all and support your troops!

Hello and welcome to Gunsnet. :welcome: Don't worry, nearly all of is, if not all of us, have had our share of impulse buys and ticked off the significant other. This place is great for info, all it takes is some time to sift through it all. Oh, and posting of gun-porn is always encouraged. :D.

"marksman" rifleman (dunno i just crap out on the m-16 sights,Obviously a gentleman of good breeding and impeccable taste and that is why you have problems with the M16. If you are a submariner you will fit into this zoo just fine, most of us seem to be underwater most of the time too. Except me for me of course, I don't want to mess up my hair do.
