I'm pleased with it. I like the SAR-1, it is a real com-block AK, only in semi-auto. This will be my everyday go-to gun so I can leave the pre-bans in the safe. I'm going to put the fixed stock back on, a nice US Palm brown grip, or put a Beryl side folder on it. I need to find a good deal on a side mount scope, anyone have one?

Former Marine and new owner of an AK47 WASR10 and just checking out any and all forums discussing the AK47. I just refinished my furniture, adding a little red to the mix, and don't understand why someone would put those ugly folding stocks on. Of course i have a Harley and don't understand why folks load them up with ugly chrome but guess that makes the world go around, lol.

I haven't explored all the available avenues for discussion here but it looks like a good site for information. I also took off the barrel nut to put on a flash suppressor and even after grinding, it was a three hand job. Does anyone use loctite?

While the folding stock in the photo isn't the prettiest, it is in fact a part found on the true Romanian, and several other European AKMs. Realism is the reason someone would install those stocks.

Unfortunately realism has given us WASR-10s instead of true AKMs.

Sure it's compact(compact, my LC9 is compact, lol). What the hell do i need a compact AK47? To hide it under my long top coat as i walk into the bank? Sorry, kidding, but I just don't see the AK as a very stealth based weapon. Its more like my flamethrower. Screw em, just put flame here, here and here.

That is the beauty of the AK/AKM platform. You can customize them to your hearts content, and still have one of the most reliable weapons ever designed.

Or you can leave them in the configuration that Mr. K. designed, and still enjoy the heck out of them. :wootrock:

I just found a widget after searching for a long time.

It appears I'm too much of a newbie to the photo so this post #4, 6 more needed. I lost a widget once but it was for a Ruger 10/22, never have found it, I was told it was concrete soluble. I now have a spare widget in case I lose the other new one.

P.S. Now I see that only pertain to signatures. Damn Newbie
