TARGETS or it ain't a hundred yard gun.

Nice looking gun though, I like simple clean and functional. There are guns to drool over and guns you drag through the wilderness and shoot. Thats a dragging gun, just my kind of flavor.

Done with iron sight and bulk Remington ammo. We don't waste ammo at 25 and 50 yards. The rifle is so cool anyone can do it that says a lot about a rifle. Kind of big and heavy for a .22 but like you say a drag along. This one was made in '49 or '50 as far as I can tell but there was a batch made in the 1960's at MAS the French company/military factory . i will have to ask the girls if they saved any targets. It's my guest/training rifle as I feel if they can't get on with the MAS they aren't moving up. My first bolt was a Marlin single shot in 1954 and many summer days were spent at El Torro Marine Base ranges with the Cub and Boy Scout clubs.

Once she found it with a few ranging shots in the spotting scope it was all over.

A single shot .22 cal. rifle is one of the best first guns you can get. I still have mine, and still enjoy shooting it. I've had women and kids shoot mine (they had never shot before), and they loved it. I seem to have good results with CCI Mini-Mags, high volicity plated .22s.

Long range shooting with .22 bolt guns is so much fun. And it doesn't cost a dollar every time you pull the trigger.

I have a savage mkII that I shoot at 200. Id like to go further if I can find a spot.
