ALTON - Legislation sponsored by state Rep. Dan Beiser would allow ammunition to be ordered, sold, delivered and received through the mail in Illinois.

"The legislation I am sponsoring will help correct an unacceptable oversight that can prevent registered firearm owners in Illinois from ordering ammunition through Illinois dealers," Beiser, D-Alton, said in a news release. "It allows registered firearm owners in Illinois the convenience of ordering ammunition locally, instead of being required to bring their business out of state."

I live in this Chicago libtard controlled state and I'm even confused. I buy ammo online, which is mailed to me....from out of state mind you. Looks like the only difference in this legislation is letting IL gun owners buy ammo from in-state stores and have it shipped to them in state?

Looks to me like an answer to a question that doesn't exist. Only problem I have in IL is with the big "box" stores like wal-mart, gander mountain, cabela's, etc. Each sells ammo in my state, but they won't ship to my house.....well to be specific, for example I can buy ammo from cabela's online, but I doubt it comes from one of their IL stores, more like from a warehouse out of state. Same with bass pro, gander mtn. Walmart lists ammo on their website, but you have to check local availability, no shipping to your house like other stuff.

And chances are I'd stick with buying ammo out of state due to no sales tax. I still save money because the shipping to me would be cheaper than me burning the gas to get it.
