Gun bill expected to pass, but more battles loom
C-19 will get rough ride in Senate, Liberals say; Quebec plans to take Ottawa to court

MPs vote on the highly contentious bill to end the long-gun registry Wednesday evening, and while it is sure to pass the majority Conservative parliament, the battle will continue for months before the registry is dealt its final coup de grâce.
Liberals in the Senate say they have no intention of "rubber stamping" the bill, which they say needs time for sober second thought.
