What's the lowdown on these?

Reliability, accuracy, weight, ergonomics, etc.

They look clumsy - doesn't seem that you could wrap your thumb around the stock with the trigger placed so far forward - or is that just the scale of the pic?

They have 71 count drum mags for $40 - 36 round sticks for $20.

9mm Parabellum.

What's not to like?

Drums do not work well in them, the key is to stick to sticks from what I hear, When they first came out there were some issues which seem to be under control.

I'd buy one if I could, but I don't think they're available in MD because of the hi-cap mags (nothing more than 20 rnds.). I've always liked the looks of them.

They look to be a nice quasi historic piece, shame they aren't select fire. Drums use to be $20 and the stick mags about $6.

My buddy in NJ just got one from Sarco and it ran great. It is a front heavy weapon...probably a dream in full auto? NJ has a 15 rd. law so I got him some mags from Centerfire and blocked them to 15 and welded the floor plate to make Joisey legal so he could get them behind enemy lines with out getting arrested,we gutted and welded the drum down to 15 rd max..We copied the way his factory 15 rd Thompson drum was done ..kman

What about the ergonomics of the grip area?

The trigger hand was fine it's the other hand that is searching for a spot that is comfortable which happens to be between the drum and the trigger for me,and like I said, the front heft of this thing it is probably comfortable one handed in full auto....

I remember hearing they preferred 124 grain ammo.

I was one in a gun store around here but they wanted over 700 for it, which was about twice as much as I see them advertised for...

So I passed. Would be a cool item to add to my colection. I thought they they were very heavy and that was empty. I also thought that the charging handle was in a wierd place. The full auto ones had a good reputation from what I have gathered.
