Th thread was devolving into a bash cops/bash citizens pissing match, and had outlived its usefulness and was therefore forced to die. Premature or not, it was no longer productive, and was most likely headed for the roadhouse before too long

I think the fact the thread was a rouse to start an argument got it locked (my opinion) VS the rest of the mess. The way the original poster posted it it should of been a RH thread, if you want to argue use the the road house would be my thought.

Let's not get all excited I never said a word about anyone being "banned" or anything of that sort, but you gotta admit threadlocking and exlies to the RH are far more common than they were in the past.


I really don't think it's a "juvenile attitude" to speak up about increased censorship for whatever reasons, economic or otherwise.


There's always been restrictions like no gay porn or pics of your winkee and the racism stuff had to be brought back under control and I think most of agree that there should be limits on a freedom if it is abused or misused.


However I think a few folks myself included were surprised to see the thread in question locked and if it were a lone incident it probably wouldn't have caused much of a stir, but it does seem to be part of a larger plan to clean things up and sanitize the new place.

I posted something in the Roadhouse a couple of weeks ago about keeping the crap downstairs. For the most part, roadhouse talk should remain in the roadhouse. Period. You'd think that's not too much to ask.

There is no "censorship" per se. You're not being asked to be a saint or a nun. What do you call "Censorship?" What do you think is being "Censored" up here? Someone closed a thread. They didn't delete or hide it. They simply stopped that particular conversation. But as you can plainly see, this one is still going!

The only things that have really been moved to the Roadhouse were the threads with the Brits coming over here to make trouble. And then they weren't "Censored," they were simply moved someplace more appropriate. It seems that "trouble" and controversy seems to follow just a few people, and then there's a lot of whining as to why they're being picked on when the thread is moved downstairs. Why is that?

But I will say this. I have gotten more PMs and seen more threads stating that something "needed" to be done about the "crap." The only complaints I have heard to the opposite have mostly been in this thread. So it seems that you're in the minority with regard to this subject. I'm privy to hearing MANY more complaints than you are. People would rather have heated debates without someone asking someone to perform oral or anal sex on them! People would rather have heated debates without someone receiving a veiled threat of suggesting that their Kevlar will not stop a rifle round (of which Level III will) and that Piggies should instead be shot in the head!
