Lost a super hornet (F/A-18 F) friday the 24th but both guys ejected and are in good shape.
Today had a Kfir (owned by ATAC) crashed while landing in a high winds and blowing snow. My friend saw it break thru the cloud cover (real low) and was way off of the runway (a good 500ft or so left of it). It flew right over my hanger and a couple others before hitting a building. He didn't eject. We think that he didn't to save people on the ground.

Don't much care about the airplane. As long as the crew is safe.

O.S.O.K.

Sorry to hear about the second pilot. I am sure you are right - he's a hero.

I think the weather conditions caused the crash. It was real shitty this morning. I don't know if the ejector seat is a zero/zero type or not but he was pretty close of clearing the buildings on base.

The word about the super hornet crash 10 days ago was an onboard fire and the crew pouched out at 18K. They have some hang time with that one.

Looks like they use a Mk6 Martin Baker, which is a zero/zero seat

Some are so brave, to stay in a plane to keep others safe....
