One for sale in the local paper. For 250.00 never heard of it. The seller says that it is made in china. What say you??

A) Seller is an idiot
B) It's the rumored and never seen 5.56x45 SKS
C) He is still an idiot and it is a VZ52 made by the Czechs.

No wonder I couldn't find any information on it. He did say that it made in china. (Maybe he can't read?) Which goes with your answer a, and c.

The Czech's VZ52 is the only rifle I remember in 7.62x45... I've tried to buy one but most came over in terrible shape and Century painted the stocks with bed liner. I've never found one in collectable shape at a price I would pay.

I'd guess the most likely is that it is a standard Chinese SKS in 7.62x39 and he goofed the add or knows very little. I've run into a lot of mall ninja operators that "KNOW" everything and are sniper SKS owners...

My buddies dad was telling me he bought a checkoslovakian AK. It took me awile to figure out he actually bought a VZ-58. I explainedto him it is not an AK, but I doun't think he got it.

Before the VZ52 (AK look-a-like), there was a CZ/VZ 45 that came out in 1945, that shot the 7.62 X 45. It looked like a conventional semi-auto. There may have been a French semi-auto made in 7.62 X 45 also. The seller may have a Chinesse copy of that gun.

I'm not sure about French sub-guns but the French MAS semi-auto shoots a 7.62x54, almost identical to the Swiss cartidge the K-31 fires (7.62x55).

If hes anything like the bubbas around here, his "SKS" could be anything from a AK, VZ, RPK, to a fucking RPD..

SKS seems to be a universal term for foreign guns. And if you tell them what it really is, NOOOOOO your dead wrong they say.

The add actually said, for sale 25 guns. I called and asked him if he had any military style rifles or pistols. He responded that he had two sks rifles both made in china. I asked Norinco? He said, no. Made in china. Then he told me about the different caliber. I told him that I had never heard of an sks in that round. Looked on the internet, came here and asked the question. I might call again tomorrow and ask him to email me a pic to see what it really is. From what I have read. It is probably the vz52.

I'd like a VZ52 in the collection, but like I said, I've never found one in collectable shape I'd pay the price for... Century bubba'ed most of them that came in...
