Gun prices! Really?

So I was checking out GunBroker and took a look at some of the prices on AK's and
G3's, are you kidding me? $800 starting price on a WASR10, $900 on a CETME? are people really that freaked out about the upcoming elections that they would even consider paying anything close to those prices? I looked through the dealer sites and found that for the most part, the lower priced AK's are sold out. I really didn't think that the scare buying would start this early. I guess the next few months will tell but damn!

Some people think their firearms are worth their weight in gold. On the other hand I never dreamed that the asking price for a WASR-10 at most outlets is approaching $500!!!
