I recently got to shoot my CZ550 at range, (700 yards!) Hard to keep the gun level though, and at that distance it really matters. Anyone have a suggestion for a scope level?

looking at this one:

The range: (Gunsite hills)

Where I was hitting (target just shy of 700 yards)

ive been looking at mating one of these

http://swfa.com/Flatline-Ops-Sniper-30mm-AccuLevel-P50960.aspx

with one of these

but the price, for what it is, imo, is fucking crazy.

reason i was looking at them is that i have seen them in action/used them before. i like the swinging level idea as it works well locked in and compact to level, but can also b swung and locked out, so that you can see your elevation turret and the level simultaneously.

I have one of these. It is the most useful one beacuse it flips up high enough you can see it without moving your head off the stock. Ones that just clamp on and don't stand up tall require you to raise your head off the stock, thus losing your level on the weapon. I have one that is like this, don't like it as you can't see it with your cheek on the stock. http://www.sinclairintl.com/.aspx/pid=34906/Product/MWG-Anti-Cant-Device

Searching the internet I find this one, looks good as it sticks out the side far enough you should be able to keep you head / cheek weld on the stock. http://www.6mmbr.com/catalog/item/1433308/905825.htm

Huh... I'm looking for as low/left as possible, that way I can just use my left eye to check the level while the right looks at targets.

Oh you big sissy, complaining about that group, pfffft. :coffee:

Lay off the caffeine and tighten your sling till it hurts and you will be able to do that at 1000 yards.

But if you just gotta do it that 'Flat line Ops' level looks like a decent way to go. Simple is always good even if you do have to raise your head to see it. .

I was shooting with enough bags the rifle barely moved :D I'm proud of those shots, but I had several shots that were off target... heck, I even missed a target at 600 yards 'cause of scope cant.

Try reading and clicking on all the links. http://www.6mmbr.com/catalog/item/1433308/905825.htm One more time. BTW the flip up one I used on a Benchrest rifle I shot comp with. I worked just fine as I could simply shift my eye up to verify level then back down to look at the reticle and target.
