Bought a Rossi 5 shot 38 yesterday for next to nothing it does have a problem I think I can fix it but cannot find a model number . . . quick description 5 shot blue steel 3" barrel walnut grips ser# D250xxx AMADEO ROSSI S.A. SAO LEOPOLDO R.S. on left side of barrel 38 SPECIAL on the right, K 468 stamped inside the cylinder arm and 468 on the frame under the grips . . . went to Rossi's site entered the serial# no match so I'm scratching my head as to what it is

samiam, if it looks like the picture above then it's a Rossi Model 68. Just my guess.

I'll try to get some pics posted Steve it looks a lot like your pic main differences are longer barrel and smooth grips w/o medallion . . . do you know of any online guides to disassembly?

got it disassembled using a S&W M36 diagram discovered a bent cylinder stop put it in a vise seems to fit ok now . . . hope everything works when I get the rest of it together

got it together SA everything seems good . . DA ??? sometimes yes most times no cylinder rotates but hammer doesn't move any suggestions on what to check? didn't notice any worn parts but obviously something ain't quite right . . . before i took it apart DA did the same thing and SA the cylinder wouldn't lock so its 1 down 1 to go
