Actually not a Soloist. That's a 1986 Kramer Focus 6000 (made in Japan for Kramer by ESP). It's nearly identical to an ESP Kamakaze.

The only SG that really appeals to me is the Diablo. When I have new guitar money, usually another Les Paul catches my eye.

I could use a V, but the one I really want is expensive.

I wouldn't mind a late 70's - early 80's B.C. Rich Mockingbird or Bich either.

I had a Buzzsaw and a Camo Bullseye Epiphone in Baghdad, but I sold them before I left (I didn't think I'd ever play them with the Gibson Bullseye waiting at home).

Is that Zakk's autograph?

almost had a mockingbird once, fuck head friend bought it out from under me. beautiful guitar, but it was awkwardly head-heavy if you wanted to play it standing. still have one on my list to pick one up one day despite that.

i do have a bich, newer one. and i came soooo close to buying an early 10 string neal moser bich, but i just couldnt justify spending the cash at the time, even though it was a smoking deal.

The bullseye is a gibby? Sorry. I thought they were all epis.

Yeah, thats one of the promo guitars he did after the .357 Choppers debacle.

Peavey: Falcon Classic, Tracer Custom , Generation S-1, Destiny Custom (Early Custom Shop). Fender Tele HH, Gibson LP Studio,Epi LP Custom.
Amps
Marshall JVM 210 1/2 stack. Peavey Transtube Special 212...
My favorites are the beat up Generation S-1, it has a Seymour Duncan Screamin' Demon, and the Epi Les Paul. The early Epiphone Les pauls were built as good as the Gibsons. I played this one in a shop that had a early 70's Gibson LP Custom. They felt, played, sounded so close. I couldn't believe it. $2,000 price diference. I couldn't see it. The Generation S-1 series Peaveys are excellent guitars. Not cheap when they were new. Now they can be had pretty cheap on Ebay, from time, to time.I've got $150 in mine, including the pickup. It sounds, and plays the best of all my guitars.

The generic term for all those 80s "soloist style" gutars is "Superstrat".

It's fine, but I baby it. Really careful about sudden temperature and humidity changes.

Here's a couple more pics of the two Silverburst Customs:

Being a fan of Adam Jones and Tool, Im envious of your not one, but two! silverburst Les Pauls. I cant even find one to check out in person, never mind afford one. Im stuck with an ESP and an Ibanez. Awesome collection, but its like my gun collection too many of one kind, Ill let you imagine what type of gun Im talking about..

I love the way an old silverburst turns green. The first full production year was '79, with a few made in '78. The '77 is an unusual guitar. It caused a bit of a stir over at MyLesPaul.com because nobody had seen a '77 silverburst before (and some of those guys are walking Gibson databases). Some correspondence with Gibson confirmed that it was an authentic Gibson Les Paul Custom, it was manufactured in 1977, and based on pics of the pickup cavities its original color is silverburst. Gibson suggested that I take it to Gruhn Guitars in Nashville to be appraised. The general consensus on MyLesPaul.com is that it's either a one off or part of a small run before silverburst became a standard color.
