I think this is probably a Global Trades receiver. If so, you shouldn't have any problems with it. I've built a couple of 74's on them with no issues at all...

IMHO they are/were the best receivers made for the AK family of rifles. By comparison the much idolized poly tech milled receivers are 1.7-1.8 mm. The global trades are 1.6 and they do not have the problem of developing stress cracks like the milled ones do.

Global Machine in Texas made stamped receivers for Yugoslavian AK's.
They mainly supplied them to Century Arms & Wise Lite Arms for use in manufacturing.
Not many were sold to regular customers.
I don't think I have seen any around since the stamped Yugo AK kits dried up.

They also made regular AKM receivers (both 47 & 74)... They sold the business to Elk River Tool & Die who continued to sell remaining Global receivers as well as making receivers for different variants. They ended up going out of business. I believe the owners moved back to Montana or Wyoming or ???
