since i've been here ,i've got, all gen 3's: 17, 20, 26

musings:

the 19: meh. my 26 with a +2 holds 12 and is a bit smaller. though the 9 mags i have for the 17 and 26 can be shared with a 19.

a 29? share mags with my 20.

a 30? have been hearing of exceptional accuracy out of that little beast. though going to a 3rd caliper i', not really crazy about. otoh it would give me a good excuse to get back reloading

a 21? been hearing of good accuracy out of that also. especially the gen 4...
is there a mid size .45? that could be a possibility

dont really want to get a wildcat cal like .357 sig or .45 gap
not crazy about the .40 short n weak, but if i'm reloading i could use some of the same bullets for .40 and 10mm, of course..

or just get another 17? really like how it shoots...

please keep opinions to glocks. and glock haters pls just stfu
taking to you grump

You fail at the engrish grasshopper!

.40 S&W, would you want to be shot by it? Let me shoot you with my G23 or G27 and tell me if you think it just tickles a little.

How about a G34 or G35? I've got a G35 with a Lone Wolf 40-9 conversion barrel. Wonderfully accurate in both calibers and a real pleasure to shoot.

there's just this stigma of the .40 being associated with rappers and the african american community that keeps me from getting one.

another vote for the g30. thats cool

I recently bought a G22 and the Lone Wolf 40-9 conversion barrel as well. Also have a G30. Love them both.

Well a 30 is a medium sized Glock, the 21 is large and really there is no 26 / 27 sized .45 ACP Glock. I understand the desire to not inject another caliber into the gun collection. So why not get the Glock 34 long slide. It will use the same 17 mags but a longer barrel.

The 30 is more 19 in size so I too would call it a midsize. I like the 19, 30 and 17 in that order, I sold my 21.

You know, a 19 or 23 would fill in your collection nicely.

Then there is another route to think about.

I bought my G21SF with every intention to purchase a G20L slide/barrel assembly down the road from www.lonewolfdist.com They offer a lot of aftermarket and factory parts for your Glocks. I also intend to convert my G23 to a G19 using their parts. Just something else to think about.

Glock 7

It's made in Germany.

It's completely porcelain.

It is invisible to airport metal detectors.

It costs more than the Dulles International Airport Police Chief makes in a month.

Or you could just jump the shark and get yourself one of those Phased Plasma Rifles in the 40 watt range. I hear those are pretty sweet.

Muthafuckin' THIS! I like converting .40's to 9's. Gives me options when ammo starts drying up. I've got the G35 but have never put a single round through the factory .40 barrel. All I've ever shot is 9mm through the Lone Wolf.

I wasn't too interested in another glock until i found out i can get a drop-in .40 super barrel for a G21, so that has become #1 on my buy next list. According to the ballistics stated on Doubletaps website for this round, it just might make my mighty 10mms seem wimpy :)

heheSilly wabbit, I don't hate Glocks and I shoot them just fine, I just prefer the feel of the colt 1911 because the angle of the grip fits me better and I prefer the straight pull back trigger without the hardware that the Glock has sticking out of it.

Hence, the sub2k takes the 17's puny 9mms and "boost" them to .357 status!:wootrock:

Add in those beautiful G18 "fun clips" and you have a serious firearm.:ylsuper:

seen it and dozens of others

can't find one in my town

and won't pay internet prices

However, I've put my name on a list at a local shop

they told me not to hold my breath, forget I ever did it, and be prepared to wait, wait, wait. Someday, I'd get a call from them he told me.

They had the .40 glock mag for $380, but that's not a caliber I choose to own, it's probably gone by now for those interested.

CDNN had Glock mag versions listed for $299 in they're most recent catalog. :)

I'd call and see if they're still in stock. $299 + $20 shipping + $20 transfer ain't bad at all. They also have a good deal going on the SU-16B for $429.

My G21SF runs great. Only problems I have with it is how much it costs to feed it. ;) As long as it isn't set up for releasing the magazine by left handed folks, any G21 magazine will work.

OK, I have your answer.

You need one of each:

10mm long barrel
full sized 40S&W
full sized .357 Sig

Sure, you say, money is no object.

You can get all three for about $350!

Yes, just buy the correct Lone Wolf aftermarket barrels for your G20. :D

Want a ported barrel? They got that. Threaded for a can? Sure.

You can only shoot one at time anyway.... and this way you don't need another holster either....

Seriously. Takes all of 30 seconds to switch them out...

They are drop-in replacements and work like factory barrels only they're conventionally rifled and can handle cast bullets.

I have the 6" 10mm barrel and standard length 40 S&W and both work great. I have a standard length 10mm Storm Lake as well - also excellent, just a bit more $.

You can get a 9mm too but you already have a 17 so what's the point there?

When I got my Sub 2k a few months ago, CDNN was out of them. I emailed the gun shop I deal with and they had one used that I picked up. I haven't regretted it one day. They are hard to find. It amazes me that they don't produce more to meet demand.

All glocks have 17 pound recoil springs so that weak handloads will cycle them. The Glock 20/21 frame is the same and the barrel will interchange. The slide of the 20 is about 1/3 of an ounce heavier than that of the 21. A heavier recoil spring will compensate.

The frame of the 29 and 30 is the same story, I don't know about the slides. Wikipedia had a chart comparing the weights of all components of every model at one time. Through spelunking the bowels of the internet I came across the info on the recoil springs but I don't remember where now.

I just checked on my Glock 30 and the magazine of the 20 WILL fit in it. (I have Glock 20 mags for foochure conversion)

Yes, I have the 40 short and weak conversion and it works fine with no further mods needed - using the 10mm mags. Makes a lot of sense for practice if nothing else.
