I ordered a 5-pak to try them out. Big 7x58 salomon shape. I know CI carries these, page 27 of the current catalog.

I might try to burn one this evening if time permits, but I was curious if anyone else had tried them and what you thought if you had.

Oh, and off today, just like yesterday, to my local shoppe to smoke a couple and watch that Commie Euro Football, or what you American's call "soccer". ;)

Well, I hope you at least enjoy the smokes. :)

I do tend to avoid the "big" guys and enjoy the boutique lines. Fortunately, I guess, I can afford $6 or so for a stick, so I don't mess with the "Don No Names"?!

Oh hey, tried the first of the Reposado's I got last night. Damn, this is a good smoke, it tasted good right off the bat and still was enjoyable when I tossed it away because it was burning my fingers.

This cigar surprised me, not only was it better over all than I figured, it tasted better and was more complex that I had anticipated. I just got these in the mail Friday, so I had planned to let sit in the humidor for a few weeks, but I couldn't wait, I wanted to try one to see for my self what it was about. Dang, if these get better with a little humidor time I'll be ecstatic.:hyper:

These big boys are yet another creation of AJ Hernandez, the creator of Diesel, Man O War, 5Vegas and other known smokes. I don't know about the others, but this one is a winner!

This first one had a good draw, burnt evenly, ash held on for over 2", plus it tasted great! Coffee, coca, creamy and nutty, just a great smoke. :woot:

Oh yeah, these come in 3 different wrapper offerings. Connecticut shade, maduro and habano.

Why didn't you SAY they were by AJ Hernandez. He's making some good smokes! Think he's making the San Lotano line, which I am ALL over!
With that said, not my size but they do look nice. I'm glad you like them.

Well, one thing is for sure, they roll all the different sizes and shapes for differing circumstances and tastes. Me, I usually go for a Churchill or double corona, but I usually keep robustos around too for when I know I don't have time for a hog leg. ;)

I'm quite happy with these and I'm probably going to order a box in connecticut shade and one in habano. For the money, 40 for $99.00 I can't see any reason not to keep these around. ;)

I think I'm ADD or something. I lose interest after 45 minutes to an hour. Rather fire up another "small" one at that point.
I've talked to a number of reps and they all agree that 60 ring is the most popular ring,
however.
