How much would you pay for just the rifle?

No Poly China mags, no bayonet, and box.

This would be the last to complete my collection!

In this day and age, that is a really hard question to answer. Personally $1200 would be my limit for a Poly sidefolder with no extras, but with the number of people getting into the sport, and the fixed number of those around, it really comes down to how bad you want it, and can you live with yourself for paying what you did.

Also, you have to remember that once you have it, with the way things are going in the AK market, there is a very good chance that in the future you will be glad you bought it at what seemed like a crazy price now.

id pay 1400-1600 But had to be in good cond.

Update! I started this thread to seek your opinions on the price of this rifle. Again thanks Herbie and Imakanut for your honest responses.

This saga started in June when I found a guy who wanted to sell or trade his good condition Polytech Sidefolder for a brand new AR 15. Around July 4 I found a guy willing to trade me his unfired Spike's Tactical AR 15 for my used NHM 91.

3 weeks ago I contacted the guys with the Polytech and told him I had a brand new AR 15 for trade. We both jumped on it like flies on a cowpaddy. We both acted like we just hit the lottery. An excellent transaction is when both parties are estatic!

In essence I traded my NHM 91 for a Polytech Bakelite Sidefolder

Was at the Philly Gunshow and saw one on the table for $1,900 in shooter condition. 1 hour later and someone picked it up.
