Officially we were 104, but I recorded 106 on my back porch. Not going to argue about 2 degrees once over 100!

The old records were 102 degrees F set in 1952 with the hottest June temperatures of 104/105 set in 1936 and 1952. :hyper:

We hit 108 degrees late this afternoon. The only good thing was that our humidity was more like Phoenix than St. Louis (~20%)!!

Go figure!

Not too bad today, it only hit 100 and actually clouded up in the afternoon.

Humidity was only 17% but that's never really a problem for us.

Yesterday maybe 98°F. Calling for 100+ today. Only good thing is the humidity is low. Bad news is plants are drying out fast, I expect major fires to start popping up soon if we don't get some rain.

All of the shopping center electric signs in my area said 115* yesterday.
Not sure what the humidity rate was at, but the air was thick as shit most of the day yesterday.

Been getting lots of dust and a light misting the last couple of nights. Monsoon season needs to hurry up and start dumping the rain on us.

For the last 8 days, St. Louis has equaled or broken the old record highs, many from 1936. Our overnight lows have also broken records for being the highest "lows" ever.
Now the humidity is starting to climb making the H.I. worse. We MAY get a "break" on Sunday of upper 90's but the humidity will skyrocket.
OG - we have not had a "measurable" rain in almost a month and a DECENT rain in even longer.
At least this d@mn Zoysia has even stopped growing!

Been to 103 the last few days, with today and tomorrow expected to match that. The weather service is threatening this thing called "rain". It hasn't rained in my area since the first week of May. About the only good thing that has come from the lack of rain was the two weeks of the Indy 500 were perfect racing weather!

It's a good thing the leaders of this country want to use corn for fuel instead of food/feed. With the current corn crop about destroyed here in the corn belt of Indiana, I expect food prices to go up quite a bit in the near future. I keep hoping for change, but keep getting this sick feeling like I need vasoline.

Gonna be a good one today, it was only supposed to reach 104 but it was 103.5 by 10:so AM and 94% humidity. June set a record for being the driest June this state has ever had. I'm parched and my cousin up north had to get the boat out of the water because of the high winds and heavy rains. We have bridges bucking from heat down here and they are worrying about the erosion from high water in the creeks taking out township bridges. If you don;t like the weather here just drive 50 miles and it's a whole different climate zone. Bad year for fireworks salesmen in my part of the state, all shows cancelled and nobody dared to shoot off in their yard or the neighbors would have beat them down to the ground for endangering everybody.
