"wrong number" emails?

wtf?!? if i try to send an email and get a letter wrong it gets bounced back, but spammers can get through no matter what.

ive been getting more spam lately, and today i just opened one and noticed something. it wasnt addressed to me at all. i looked at the header and it said to "dethy_32@xxx" and not deth502sz@xxx. looking at the full header it said "apparently to deth502sz".

i know there are a lot of it type ppl on here, so why the fuck am i getting spam that isint even addressed to me? any way to not get an email unless its actually addressed to me, so i can get rid of some of this spam?

i only get maybe 2-3 a day, but noticing that they werent even addressed to me was the killer. imo, the address wasnt even close. heres a hint, if they dont know my actual email address, its spam!!!

I just got a new one in my spam folder. It I was speeding in NY and to download the payment file, fill it out and send it back with payment. Too fucking funny.

I go to "SWEEP" and click on block for the really bad ones. Also use "PHISHING SCAM" under "MARK AS" when appropriate. I like hotmail.

Yahoo's spam blocker has gotten a LOT better over the last 15 years. That, when combined with the less amount of spam being generated, has taken the numbers I get in the junk folder from over 250/day just 5 years ago, to less than 50. These come in to the address that I have had there since 1997 which has been posted to SEVERAL chat sites between 1997 and 2005.
