Hello all, my name is Jason and I'm new to the forum. I just put a NIB MAK 90 on layaway for $399 and a 75 round Chinese drum mag for $50. The gun and drum were from a private collection where the owner had died and his wife put some guns on consignment. How did I do? Should be getting it in a few more weeks.

I'll give you $450 for it and you make a profit... ;^)

NIB MAK-90 could go for $550 to $700 depending on which model it was before relabled. I've seen .223 and milled receivers labled as MAK-90 and those bring premium prices. The drum in excellent would go for about $100 right now.

Yea, you did good...

OH! And welcome to the Board!!!

It was imported by K-sports out of Pomona Ca. and it says Norinco on the reciever. I can't wait to get it home and then I'll post pics.

Ya done good!

I like the Chinese AK's better than those made in other countries. I think they're better made than the Euro/Russina ones, but that's a personal opinion.

Again, you stole that AK.

Welcome to the forum.

Wecome to the group !!! :welcome:

Yes I would say you did GREAT!!!! These days stamped receiver MAK-90s are going for $500 in used but very good to excellent condition. New in box is a great buy, and that drum was half price!

It is always sad to read about a firearm owner passing on, but nice to know that his legacy will be taken care of by someone who appreciates the weapon.
