Besides Bing.

How do we contact Google?

I'm thinking contacting them will do as much good as it would bitching to Pay Pal about their firearm policy. ZERO.
After all, both are in Kalifornia.

I thought they always were?

I use Google (because it seems to be the best search engine there is), but I always feel a twinge of guilt supporting an anti-gun organization. :(

Google stated that their new policy was made to help ensure family safety and comply with legal regulations.

FAMILY SAFETY? How in hell is a family "safer" if they have no way to defend themselves from the bad guys????

LEGAL REGULATIONS? What "legal regulations" are there that control the listing of products sold by certain merchants????

IDIOTS!!!!!!!!!!!! Maybe I will stop using them - after I send them a nasty letter (that they won't read and won't give a shit about anyway).

Well I'll take the time to send them a fax, fed up with my droid bionic losing data signal and bars anyway, this is just the final straw.

Have a look at Startpage. Be curious to know if this engine is just a subset of Google.

Article says "new policy" and we can search for guns/gun dealers etc., now but supposedly not in the future.

Just had a thought; since our "absence" from Google probably won't be felt, or noticed, I wonder what they would think if all of a sudden, they saw that Google were being used to search for a lot of gun related topics. I mean, if everyone here, as soon as they sat down to their computer did a gun search of some kind, using Google, would they notice an increase in the traffic used for this? If so, they might rethink their stance when they see how much people use it for that. This might be something for them to chew on, especially when they realize that these "gun people" will have to choose another search engine to continue their searches.

Just a thought....

GOOGLE doesn't give a shit about our wants and needs. Apparently, the lack of firearm related advertisers won't hurt their bottom dollar.
A company like that doesn't need to be in business. 'Pick and choose' seems to be the Liberal way.

the policy posted about leaving out firearms when searching is new, but googles anti-gun stance is nothing new at all.

from how i understand it, when you click on one of the "sponsored links" on the top of your search, each click gets them money from said website. for that reason i NEVER click the highlighted links on top. the site im looking for is usually listed again right below anyway. i click that one and google gets no money from them.

I use Firefox and "Ad Block Plus" which is awesome. I rarely if ever see an annoying ad or a popup.

So when is this change supposed to take effect? I just did several firearm and firearm related accessories searches and they all came up on google shopping with out any trouble. I did the following searches and had the actual firearm or part come up for each

ar-15
ak-47
beta mag
glock
ruger rifle
ruger pistol
9mm suppressor

Does anyone have a link to the actual press release by google, I did not see it in the OP's link, or is there some geographical issue coming into play since I am in Guam?

I just tried it and some gun stuff doesn't work. Other stuff does. No results when searching for "glock" , but 2330 results when searching for "9mm suppressor"

"9mm ammo" gets loads of results, but ".45 acp ammo" gets none, seems random, guess they still have some work to do to rid the country of guns.

I got plenty of results for "Glock" when tried it a few seconds ago.

I'd like to avoid using google and bing at all. The "Startpage" search is just google, but accessed through a filter so you are anonymous.

What about https://duckduckgo.com/ it looks to be independent with a good privacy policy.
