Modified AR bayonets

Does anyone remember the thread from the old board that O.S.O.K. started in which he modified an M7 bayonet to fit his carbine? He cut the back off and welded a block on the handle and welded the back on the block.

Then someone showed his project in which he took an M7 and cut the handle short and welded the back on to fit on a dissipator?

Does anyone have that thread saved?

I would like to get my bayonet extended and pictures are worth a thousand words. I'll have to get someone to do it for me. No work space, no tools.

I purchased a factory Colt bayonet that fits on a carbine. It has an extension block on it. I can post a pic and some dimensions if you want......

I have thought about custom making AK bayonets. I have some ideas that are pretty far out, but its just finding the time and motivation.

it might have been me that posted pics, not sure. i know i dont have them now cuz i was looking for them a few mths back.

i made one with about a 1- 1/2" handle for an ar pistol. ive made some custom ak ones too. most notable one i can think of would be the one for my "hk47" where i turned the blade upside down.

its not really hard at all. hardest part is keeping the lock on straight.
