I traded for one of those about ten years ago. Haven't shot it a whole lot.

Whats next? Shoot it and take pictures. :)

Heres mine:

I put a nice scope on mine and have a great time with it. The only thing bad is it gets very hot as the gasses vent into the nice black metal handguard which also picks up all the heat from the sun. Only rifle I have that I wear gloves for before picking it up. Still a super accurate fun rifle that seems odd until you shoulder it, then it makes sense.

I did do some trigger work to mind to smooth it out as much as can be done with a bullpup.

I drilled the side holes in the receiver trying to get a good airflow through it to cool it off, no joy, still hot.

And have no idea why there is a link below to the above picture. Site update no doubt. ;)

I've handled them, never shot one. They do handle nice, easy to control with one hand to point it. The one thing that turned me off is the carry handle / charging handle is plastic and it can be broken. I saw one dropped by a butterfingered person and it landed square on that charging handle scope mount. It broke off after about a 3 foot fall.

I've been emailing the man at www.kmaerospace.com and I've probably already mentally dropped $800 on this thing :D

Welcome to the club! Now take her to the range and let us know how she shoots!

I checked out that website just now. Wow, the M17S looks way better and probably handles better as a railed flat-top! If I had two M17s I would modify one in a heart beat! However, since I only have the one and Bushmaster no longer produces these, it's staying in its original form.

I was just pondering one of those the other day. Yet another gun I hope to stumble upon in a shop one day.

So I got it the other day and took it to the range... And traded it with my brother for his Saiga-12.

:D

It was a fine rifle but he liked it much more than I did.
