I've been considering one of these. Wonder how well that rail on the cover is for holding zero with a scope mounted?

I have the EAA imported 10 rnd ss Zastava which I believe is on an RPK receiver they seemed to have been tweeked for easier Century conversion since then. The rail is tight to the cover but there is a little wiggle room on the cover itself, but it is still accurate within 50-100 yards anything past that you would want a side rail or front mount.

Thanks for the info.

I purchased one of these about a week ago. Have not got to the range yet. Probably will stick to the stock mags as everyone says feed problems occur with conversion efforts.

My first AK purchase. I hope it was a good one.

I tried a cover mounted scope & it was horrible. I had a scope mount screwed into the side of my gun (aftermarket).

Nowadays, the original Soviet style scope mounts are common.

I advise getting one and having a gunsmith mount it. That's pretty straightforward for them.
You can also use the original Warsaw pact style scopes with too for a more authentic experience.
