I'm looking at saving for a Huntertown arms 9mm Guardian after I finish a few other projects.

You do seem to shop around and get different brands of suppressors. As such you have to be able to rate which suppressors you like better than others, which ones are quieter etc. So what are your top picks in various chamberings.

None of mine really go head-to-head for the same target market. I have budget cans, specialty cans, and top-of-the-line cans - in various calibers. My best can is my .45 Silencerco Osprey (hearing safe dry in .45). It's not really fair to compare it to my YHM Cobra .45, since they aren't in the same price range, or to my Poseidon .45, since it's a specialty can and much smaller. I'm waiting on the Form 4 for an AAC Tirant, which would go toe-to-toe with the Osprey, but I won't be able to make a comparison between mine since I have them in different calibers.

If you are simply looking for the best currently available pistol can without factoring in price, it's going to be a toss up between the Silencerco Osprey and the AAC Tirant. In .22, I would buy the Liberty Kodiak again without hesitation. Don't buy an aluminum can for .22, steel is easier to clean and won't weld itself shut like aluminum (lead and aluminum form a bond under heat). I only have one rifle can, a YHM 7.62 Stainless Phantom. I like it reasonably well. There are quieter rifle cans, but I'm happy with this one. It's built like a tank. I use it for 7.62 and 5.56. The next can on my list is the same YHM 7.62 Phantom, only I want one in titanium so it will be lighter on my SBRs. I have the YHM QD mount on all my rifles, so it just makes sense to get a second can (in a different material) that's already compatible with my setup.

Thanks for the reply. Next year I hope to go for 2 more suppressors; one to be for .22 LR and the other to be for .308 / .223. I see the Liberty people do rebuilds on AAC Pilots and other suppressors that are sealed. Only problem with that is they charge more than my original cost for the Pilot to make it unsealed type so it can be cleaned. I definitely regret getting the Pilot because you can't take it apart to clean it.

As far as a "rebuild", I used Stalking Rhino (http://stalkingrhino.com/) to jailbreak my EVO-9.
Top notch work and I love being able to clean the can now.
