:cigarsmoking:

Made some stogie purchases recently and also got another humidor. Of course this means I can lay in some more, assuming the wife doesn't notice. :slap:

These are my main three humidors I use. The small one I smoke out of, the other two are storage for letting them age a bit.

And of course the obligatory pics of the smokes themselves.

I'm doing good on smokes right now, but my whiskey cabinet could use some inventory. :naughty:

So what's everyone smoking/drinking these days?

I see you store them withe wrap still on them. Never did that before.

I'm always afraid the wrappers will get damaged, plus one cigar may influence another in a way that's undesirable. :conf44:

Bitchin set up. The La Aurora looks to be the blue ribbon best of show. I have allowed my cigar inventory to dwindle since I smoke pipes more. My Cigar Oasis XL just gave up the ghost, so I ordered another. As far as drinking...bourbon.

Bleed, the Cigar Oasis, is that a humidification device?

And yes, the La Aurora's are good as are the Olivia's. Also the Hoyo Excaliber Dark Knight is good too. ;)

I like a blend in my pipe called North Sea from the Tinder Box in SLC, Utah. I have just bought a bottle of Basil Hayden 8 year old Ky Bourbon to try. This is a light smooth whiskey good with a couple drops of branch water. This is a good summer whisky with smoked meat. It does not over power the BBQ.

Yes. I had one for several years before it crapped out. Its truly a set it and forget it humidifier. I'll never be without one.

I have not had the blend from Tinder Box. I have been stuck on an English blend from a Milwaukee tobacconist (Uhle's) called Bishops Move. Also a blend from Cornell & Deihl called Billy Bud. It has latakia and cigar leaf. Very nice.

The Basil Hayden's is excellent, it has a dry quality that I really like. Not sure why it's so expensive, but there's no arguing the fact that it's tasty.

Usually I only smoke a pipe when it's too nasty weather wise to sit outside. It makes no sense to me, but the wife has no issue with pipe smoke, but can't stand the smell of a cigar.

Yep and box pressed to boot. Tho in truth, it's the Oliva series O that's my favorite from them. :)

I've recently switched from the humi-pillows, to the gel jars. So far it looks like the jars are better. One issue I had with the pillows was that even if I used cigar juice, they would mildew after about 60 days. Blech!

Also, any pipe tobacco with latakia is bound to be good IMO. ;)

O is the Conn? Or the Cammy? Can't keep 'em straight at this old age. :(

The ones I got, IIRC, have a cameroon wrapper, it's certainly not shade leaf. Very tasty tho. ;)

The new Oasis arrived today. This is money well spent IMO.

Interesting, I guess the ribbon type wiring doesn't interfere with the lid of your humidor?

No it does not, but there is a battery option.

Jefferson how much does the Basil Hayden sell for in the Midwest? Here in Wyoming it is in the mid range of $44.00. I did not know it was made by Jim Beam. It does not say Beam on the bottle but that is the source. It does have that slight hint of Beam whiskies. Good or bad.

I'm pretty sure the last bottle I bought back in the spring was about $38.00

Basil Hayden's is in Beams premium line up along with Baker's and Booker's. I like all 3 tho the latter two need a bit of water.
