Gunblast just did a write up on these rear pins. They look interesting and would replace the need for an accu-wedge if you have a sloppy fit. Anybody tried these yet?

I guess I'll order one and see how it works. I'll report back...

This looks interesting. I can think of one rifle I'd try it on. For 48 bucks, I'll let you try it first.

I've never tried them, but anything that "tightens up" the upper to lower fit is just asking for premature wear on the holes... so I'd never use it (nor would I ever use an Accu-Wedge).

The AR-15 barrel and sights are all contained in the upper. The lower is just a "firing pin hitter". The tightness of fit (or looseness) does NOT in any way affect accuracy. All the products that jam up the pins tight are just gimmicks that are unnecessary and can even damage the rifle.

(edit to add): If a tight fit were necessary, wouldn't the US Military use them?

I had to create an account just to comment on this...

How would fit not have an affect on accuracy??? Why do people bed their bolt guns to make them more accurate? What keeps the barrel and sights from moving when the hammer hits the firing pin and the bullet begins to move, the lower receiver!!!!

It looks as if these pins are new so the US Military probably hasn't had a chance to see them or test them yet. And not every gun has to have something like this, maybe just the designated marksmen.
