I want to add that this story really tears at me. I mean seriously he sounds like a great guy and the scumbag who pulled this act needs to die worse than a rabid coon.
The man obviously loved his job and even dedicated time to help others...
Our whole society lost a good guy that day and the sad part is; is that good guys are far outnumbered by shitbirds.

And...
The story really hit me when I read his widow wore a dress that he loved to see her in. What a strong women to have to endear these pains with such great strides.
I'd like to think my wife is of the same sort.

I know I'm not the most LEO friendly guy that there is but best believe I respect what you "good" peace officers do...Hats off to you and yours.

Chicago is a kill zone... it's way out of hand.
I would like to think if Chicago respected the Constitution that a lot of these assholes would be dead at the hands of their armed "victims" before these things happened... It's unlikely the shooter was a saint prior to this.
