I know some of these had bad barrels with keyholing issues. I assure you this one Does Not have that problem. I have shot 250 rounds of Russian and Bulgarian surplus without any issues whatsoever. Shots were fired at varying ranges from 25 yards to 100 yards and all resulted in clean, round, 5.45 holes. The barrel does fail the bullet test but based on a lot of reading here at this site and at www.theakforum.net (http://www.theakforum.net) a lot of people have verified that even though some of these Tantals fail the bullet test, they Do Not keyhole. I can even meet you at Ben Avery and let you shoot it just to ease your mind if you're interested but hesitant because of the bad rep these have. I have a good reputation here. All positive feedback. I also frequent www.arizonashooting.com (http://www.arizonashooting.com) and go by the name GringoLoco there and have a very good reputation on that site as well. Nothing but positive feedback. AZShooting is down right now though, so unfortunately this is not something you can check. Also the reason I'm posting this here and not there.
