I bought a 9mm longslide conversion kit from the Para custom shop a few months ago. Also bought a P14 frame with the rails way too tight to fit a stock slide. Was also having extraction issues. Sent the whole thing to Robar. While it was there, I decided to have them refinish the entire gun in NP3 so everything would match. They fixed my extraction issues and fitted the slide. Very happy with the result. Plan to shoot it this weekend.

Probably going to change the grips, the all-metallic look is a little too much.

Edit: just ordered a set of Hogue tulipwood for this pistol. My wife's stainless Walther has those grips and the orange tinted wood looks nice against metal.

Got out the S&A marbled ebony wood grips that I used to have on my P14-45 and put them on the 9mm until the tulipwood arrives. Better?

Total gun-boner.

Really tasteful custom you've got there, mang!

I bet that thing is a laser compared to a the run of the mill 1911 in .45acp.

One of the nicest custom 1911s I have seen in a long time! Personal preference is for the top set of grips as they fit the futuristic look of your Para.

I hope it shoots as good as it looks and feels. The NP3 finish is great, it makes all the moving parts feel like they're on ball bearings - without making the gun feel slick to the touch like the teflon finish I once tried on another gun. Supposedly 9mm in a longslide 1911 feels like you're shooting a toy.

that's fucking beautiful.

I might spring for one of those 9mm/22 TCM combos for christmas.

I'm thinking titanium grips with around 30 lpi checkering.

18 rounds.

Aluminum grips are probably going back on.

Edit: Shipping the Alumagrips to Robar to be refinished to match the rest of the gun. It will wear the wood grips until the aluminum ones return.

Another edit: Fired it today. It's the easiest shooting 1911 I've ever fired.
