The emperor Nero attempted to assasinate his own mother Agrippina in a self-sinking boat. Though aware of the plot, Agrippina embarked on this boat and was nearly crushed by a collapsing lead ceiling only to be saved by the side of a sofa breaking the ceiling's fall. Though the collapsing ceiling missed Agrippina, it crushed her attendant who was outside by the helm. She swam to shore and was saved saved by an admiring crowd. In frustration Nero later sent henchmen to stab her and call it suicide.

It just goes to show how little times have changed.

2,000 yrs. ago, multiple stab wounds was a sign of suicide and, today, multiple gunshot wounds are a sign of suicide.

Back to the boat, exactly how do you design a self collapsing boat. I just thought it was funny to actually design a collapsing boat to kill your own mother. Its like something out of a cartoon, except for the fact that some people were killed.
