I'm not sure where this should be, but this forum should work.
I'm looking to do a .375 H&H build. I'd like to keep it budget and pick things up over time. I def want a controlled feed action. It seems like Mauser is the way to go. Will an FN Mauser action work for this? I've seen 30/06 actions being modified and used. Is that possible/a good idea?
I really like the FN idea bc I found a cheap AAA grade Maple stock for that action, BUT I'm open to whatever action is best (or easiest to find parts and modify) since I haven't put money down on the stock yet.
So, please provide some input; pros/cons of different choices, etc.
Where can I find good deals on actions (alone prefered, but I can strip it if necessary)
