If the mark you are talking about is the one on the lower handguard, I wouldn't think twice about it. Most underfolders leave very nice gouges on either side of the handguard after use. Even those are not considered an issue on the most rare of the Chinese AKMs.

Its a gun, and an AK at that. If you are going to use it, it is going to get scratched here or there.

Hey welcome to the group! If the dent really bugs you, use a steam iron with a wet
cloth patch, put the patch over the dent, use the tip of the iron and keep steaming until the dent swells up to the
surface sand a little and you should be all set.
