I hate linking to other sites but this is worth sharing for the Saiga-12 owners looking for other mag options.

What about a 12-rd drum?

Second reply was today.

Well better late than never. I know nothing about the 12 rd drums. I no longer own a single Saiga. I owned at one time, 2-S308 in both short and longer barreled versions, 2-S223 both short and long barrel versions, 1-S410 fully converted, 2-S12 fully converted and later both sold off. Neither of the S12 would cycle cheap ammo.

Sorry, I just sort of started coming back around a few days back.

The Pro-Mag 12-rd drums are only as tall as a 5-rd stick mag, and hold 12 rounds. All of them that I've seen function quite well after being fitted to the gun for which they are going to be used.

It's nice to have 12 rounds without having the ridiculously long stick mag hanging under the gun.

No apology required. I'm glad to have some interest in this going on rather than discussion of politics etc.

i was really into my Saiga-12s but both models I owned even after the gas port was opened up would not cycle cheap shells. The monopod stick was another thing. The drum was not out yet by the time I sold them off.

LOL. The stick mags are the dorkiest thing going. My Saiga came with a monopod 10-rd stick. I cut it down to make an additional 5-rd mag.
