I just recently acquired a Rusky SKS from a co-worker to give my Yugo M59/66 company. It's a Tula Arsenal 1954-dated SKS. It's in great shape with all matching numbers, but it was re-arsenaled. My co-worker said he bought it 20-something years ago, fired a few rounds through it, and had it sitting around in his safe until now.

Very nice - I once had a nice little collection that included a Soviet, Albanian, Romanian, Chinese and two Yugos - pre and post mods. Sold em all off...

Nice SKS I always liked those laminated stocks even though they are replacement stocks usually.:cigarsmoking:

Welcome to the Tula Russian SKS club. Mine's a 1953 I picked up about 5 yrs ago.

You've got the nice laminated stock...I think those are at a premium these days.

Thanks, guys. I wish I would have gotten into SKS rifles when they were a dime-a-dozen. I remember when most of them were going for around $150. However, at the time, I never thought that they would go up in price like they did (along with everything else) and all I bought was a Yugo SKS with a worn-out carved-up stock. I remember seeing Albanian, Russian, Chinese, and Yugoslavian SKS rifles all over the place only 10 years ago.

I remember racks of Chinese SKSs for $69 back in the mid 90s

I got my 1958 Romanian 10 years ago for $150 and it came with 500 rounds of ammo and ten stripper clips.

Very nice sks! Last russian I bought I got it for 275.00 or so. I asked if the guy had any ammo for it. He said yeah 700 rounds. When he said he would take 50.00 bucks for the ammo, I couldn't get there fast enough!

Very nice. Now you need a Russian sling for it.

Thanks. Yeah, the Chinese sling seems to clash slightly. :)

Very nice !

I bought a yugo59/66 4 years ago fully packed in cosmoline, one of these days i'm gonna drag it out of the safe and clean it up.....hell, i've been saying that for 4 years now, i really hate cosmoline, seems like you never get the smell of it out of your nose.

The most beautiful SKS's ever made. Very nice.

I too have a 54 Tula. It's been fired once.
