They boast an "almost unlimted service life".

If that's true this wouldn't be a terrible emergency / survival / backup piece.

If it's a paper tiger though, I think I'd pass.

Wouldn't this require a SBR $200 stamp? When you put it on a rifle you are basically attaching a butt stock to it.

I agree. It does look neat. If it becomes available in MD, and doesn't require a tax stamp, I'll buy one.

My guess is that as long as it's not attached under a rifle, it's still a regular handgun. Not sure about how it would be classified once it's attached to a rifle, though....

yep .

it's almost tempting to do it for the fun factor.. But I can do it to a teeny tiny 870 or 500 for way less $$.

If it is cheap enough I'll wait for one to show up in a local shop. I need to put one in hands before I jump on the wagon. It would make for a nice hi-cap lease gun for wabbits and coons.

So yeah, putting it on another rifle would make it a SBR type weapon.

I still don't understand how you hold the thing.

Looks like an extended mag (hi-cap) would act more or less as grip.

Might be a neat/fun range toy, if the street price is right. I'd take one if they are found to work worth a damn.
