This is on the new Petition Site that President Obama had set up. Here is the link (https://petitions.whitehouse.gov/petition/we-ask-president-obama-support-law-abiding-gun-owners-time-tragedy/VBpRRMPR)

Here is the text of the Petition.
We ask President Obama to support law abiding gun owners in this time of tragedy.

We ask President Obama to stand with law abiding gun owners in this time of tragedy. Guns laws could not have prevented Adam Lanza from killing 27 innocents. The real question is what made this disturbed young man into a murderer of children. Where is the outrage at the violent video games he played? A piece of plastic and steel doesn't have a will Mr. President. Evil is not law abiding, and Adam Lanza stole those guns after failing to buy one legally. it is America's law abiding gun owners who would have died with Victoria Soto and Dawn Hochsprung defending the children with only our bodies on December 14th, because it was already illegal to bring a gun into that school. Please don't pander to the politics Mr. President. A feeding frenzy of new gun legislation is not the answer.

The petition was created yesterday and it needs another 4,000 signatures to send it to the President.

I know that BO won't give a shit, but I signed it anyway. What we really need to do though, is donate money to the NRA and GOA.

If from now on every gun bought would equal a signature, then it won’t take long to get to that goal. In less than a month it would be in the millions.

Here's an even better petition to sign. https://petitions.whitehouse.gov/petition/not-punish-tens-millions-law-abiding-gun-owners-ineffective-and-unconstitutional-assault-weapons/jq9HgTxd

That is really the sad hypocrisy of this whole petition site. If the President does not agree with the petition, he will just ignore it. However, since it does show his hypocrisy I don't consider this a complete loss.

It looks like people are getting involved, the petition just got over the 25,000 signatures. There may be hope for people in this country yet.

I don't think we need to be blaming video games or music for this nut-case's actions. He was sick in the head, period, just like most of these spree shooters with red-flags and warning signs everywhere.

We need to expand mental health services in this country, not start banning shit.

Read the OP. It's clearly blaming violent video games for this tragedy. Not helpful, IMHO.

Agreed. Millions of kids play shooter games and have "killed" thousands of players in those games. None of them turned into psycho murderers.

Whether the shooter was mentally disturbed or just plain evil, no "law" would have stopped him.

Instead of running out to spend money on overpriced guns and ammo, why don't donate to our faborite gun lobby group instead.
