I shoot a lot of .22 LR's around the homestead and have been a big fan of Ruger semi-auto .22 pistols. But lately I've had a hankering for a Hi Standard .22 pistol and was fortunate enough to run across a nice one recently.

This one's serial number shows it was manufactured in 1947, a very nice Hi Standard Model H-D Military with 4 inch barrel. This is a sweet shooter and it has become my new favorite .22 LR pistol of late.

Nice, always wanted a High Standard Pistol as well. They are legendary in quality and accuracy. Congrats on scoring it!

It is very nice to shoot. Very good trigger and great balance and it's been 100% through the first 250 rounds. It's amazingly accurage!

I also have several Ruger .22 pistols and a Browning Buckmark and I'm thinking I may have found my new favorite .22 with the Hi Standard

I'm thinking this old gal will hold it's own against a Ruger. I'm a big fan of Ruger .22's and own several in my collection. One of the most accurate .22 LR handguns I've ever shot is my Ruger MKII with Tactical Solutions PAC LITE upper. Talk about a real tack driver . . . but I think the Hi Standard will hold it's own against the Ruger in accuracy. Obviously they are different designs and they 'feel' different when you're shooting them, but the quality of the Hi Standard is really amazing.
