Been thinking about knocking out the rear trun. and adding a regular tang stock to my AMD anyone else hate the wire stock?

Never cared for it, too much drop to get a cheek weld. Still the AMD has a unique look to it that makes it stand out. I have seen people put a comb on them to correct this.

I don't like them very much. Have two of them hangin around. I put one
on a romy and you're right they're awkward and not very comfy. They
look cool, but that's about it. I went back to all wood on 3 of mine and
one with a slidefire.

I'd love to just have some good ole wood on this thing.

I'm not sure the rivet patern of the AMD trunionmatch a fixed stock trunion. Then there would be that hole for the stock release button left behind if you change it out. Romanian side folder wire stocks actually do give a good cheek weld all be it just on the skinny wire diameter. I put one on my SAR-3 and it makes it very compact when folded. I forgot for sure, did I put that rear side sling mount on that AMD when I built it up for you?

Yes you did install the a sling mount to the rear of the left side of the Receiver. I'm thinking my only two options are add stock extension from AMD-65 Tech and or the block adapter and stock from Bumpski.
