Just going through my local Arms List and came across this Romy, don't get me wrong its a sweet rifle but $$. I remember I bought mine new for $350.00 back in 2001.

Yes there are crazy people out there, and if you check my thread about the one that sold on Gunbroker you will find there are people crazy enough to pay that.

And to think I complained when the SAR-1 went up to $350!

No dimples ... Doesn't that make it a WASR?

Didn't even look until you brought it up, but yes you are right, no dimples = WASR not SAR-1.

Lol, 1400 bucks for a WASR that should be going for $400, tops.

I quess the inflated value is due to it having the extremely rare & desired "pooch penis" hand grip.

the dimple is probably covered up by the folding stock

Had to look closely but you are probably right, that rubber pad in the stock does a good job of blending in with the receiver and not looking like it is part of the stock. Good catch!

Well, I guess $1,400.00 is a pretty good deal in that case....uh..

That's a great deal if you bought the SAR-1 when they were selling for $275 and you are the seller!
