The Question you have to ask where these surplus magazines or new magazines? Most likely used as the factory cost went up last year

every surplus ak mag ive ever had has worked flawlessly. ive never seen a "good" us made new mag

Sportsman's Guide has some really good deals on AK mags every now and then. A couple of years ago they had some grab bag mags. Don't remember how many, but the price was right, and many of us got some very rare mags mixed in with the standard shooters.

Need to keep an eye on Sportsman'ts Guide for deals like that.
