Hello all! First off let me say I have the misfortune of being a gun owner in the socialist paradise of New York...aka Prebanistan. Which leads me to my question...

I own an Arsenal SLR-106, and finding preban mags for this thing is a real hassle. I've ruled out the Bulgarian Circle 10s as there's no way of knowing if they're preban (at least as far as I can tell after reading up on them).

The Polish Radom Beryl mags are really the only other mag that'll fit the gun (Weigers are a no-go, and I don't want to convert 5.45s).

So my question is: are the Beryls preban? I'm specifically looking at the black ones, not the clear plastic kind. I've read that it's a good bet Polish, metal mags are preban, but I wanted to run it by the good folks in this forum first. It seems the Radom factory is still in business, but I don't know if they have (post 94) continued to make mags.

I anyone knows the answer - or can point me in the direction of where I can get an answer - it'd be greatly appreciated!

Sorry to hear about the silly laws of New York. Would Chinese mags work? I have seen Chinese 5.56 rifles with Bulgarian mags.

Negative. The Bulgarian AKs are a finicky sort. From what I've read, Weigers and other "normal" AK mags wont fit. The only ones that work reliably are the Circle 10s or the Beryls. All others are a crapshoot or need modding in order to function.
