Thank you. Now how do I load this puppy on to this site? I have tried. As usual I'am confused!

OK... RIGHT-click on the image, select "Save image as" (or "Save picture as" in MSIE) and save it to your computer. Then go into "settings" (upper-right corner of this screen) and click "Edit avatar" (center-left of the screen). Use "Option 2 - Upload image from your computer". Click the "Browse" button, find the avatar image you saved (it's named "recon-100x100.gif") and select it. Then click "save changes" button (center-right of the screen). You should now have an avatar.

Good luck!

I'm having a hell of a time getting an image withing the size restraints! at 100x100 most of my pics are coming up around 28k when the limit is 19.5k. Can we get the same size, but up the file size? How are you guys getting these big avatars!?!?

are you resizing it properly? not all images can be sized @ 100x100 without looking weird. I just downloaded a google image and resized it to 100x52 (100x100 would of made it out of proportion and 100x52 was correct) and it was 3.3k. Where is your pic? put it on a free hosting site and I'll resize it.

Got it. I was doing it in photoshop and it was adding a bunch of size for some reason. Did it in Picasa and it worked!

O.S.O.K.

100 x 150 works fine. The 100 width keeps the avatar from looking "too big" and there is a ton of free space to accommodate the 150 height in the "userinfo" table.

The avatars that people uploaded on "my board" ranged from 7.6K to 51K. A 65536 (64K) limit would be much more appropriate.

Just suggesting of course...
