Mag Question

One of my friends asked me the other day about a 223 Saiga. He has a 5 round mag that came with the gun. It is a double stack reciever. He asked me if he had to find 223 mags, or if the AK 74 mags would work. I have no idea! Told him I'd inquire to more knowledgeable guru's.

An unconverted saiga rifle require magazines made especially for the saiga. Surefire is good to go.
Rifles can be converted to use other magazines.

Thanks. I'll let him know. I checked one of my 7.62X 39's and it fit right in. The lips different on the Saiga mags? I know my mag isn't the right caliber.
