View Full Version : Whats the smallest metalic cartridge that you reload?

Here again, the diameter of the bullet. I guess the smallest available would be .17 caliber? Although I guess there are even smaller?

My personal smallest is the .223 Rem.

All of the other calibers that I load for - handgun or rifle are larger.

if your going by diameter, id say 223 rem, but if i was just asked "smallest" id say 32 acp.

Once I get bullets, primers and powders to go with the brass and dies I already have, it'll be .22 Hornet.

There's sub-calibers all the way down to .10 but they generally use bullets turned from brass rod. Some are even based on an unfired, necked down .22LR case. Pull the bullet, dump the powder, neck it down, reload with the correct powder charge and seat the bullet. All while the case is still primed...:holy-sheep::think2::crazy:

Not even close, the smallest in my ammo box is 25-20, it's also the oldest of all the guns I own that are shot.
