Check the Internet for Class III dealers.

There is a magazine called "Small Arms Review" which features Class III weapons and lists the dealers. Make sure you get some pix of a gun, along with some references before the purchase.

Sturmgewehr listed prices are a little higher than what you would actually pay.

I have noticed that about Sturm. A lot of guys must be willing to deal.

A local dealer who buys guns off Sturm, said he never pays the price they requested.

I've purchased magazines and ammo off Sturm, but never any guns. However, some of the folks I bought from were willing to compromise a bit on price.

I am planning on buying my first transferable this fall...which coincides nicely with the Oct. show at The Knobber. It has been a few years since I have been there, but damn...the deals there on a whole range of shit blew anything on the 'Net outta the water.....ammo/NFA/pre-bans/parts/accessories etc. etc. etc. I really hope it's the same......

Good Luck! And, remember, the Class III segment of this wonderful hobby is also very addictive. Are you going for anything in particular, or whatever jumps out at you?

Well the very short list of transferables I am lusting after is either a Mini-Uzi, FNC, RR M16, RR HK (wife-willing) :D

Now if I stumble across something I never contemplated that's a good deal....who knows.

Before you suggest a DIAS....they are kinda pointless in MI. Once I remove it to put in another host....if it happens to be a short barrel, I now am breaking the law. So in other words, a DIAS is pretty much married to a short barreled host here.

I have noticed lately some cracked out prices being asked.....I dunno if it's a couple of shady dealers looking to cause a panic on the NFA scene so they can retire early, or if it's just individual's looking to find some fool with too much money.....
