There's supposedly a similar phenomena down in the SW corner of Missouri, right by the Oklahoma border, but I can't remember what they call it, and obviously I've never been to see it.

well guys I lived in Fort Davis for quite a few years and I've seen the "Marfa Lights" on more than one occasion. Can't explain it or refute it but SOMETHING was out there.

Wetbacks sneaking in across the border with flashlights. :)

There's also a gubbamint antenna array strung through the gullies SSE of Marfa that probably has nothing to do with anything but it's weird and it's there.

Actually... Marfa has at least 4 "abandoned" airbases... (Actually, looks like a total of 8 in the general area of Marfa)
Marfa Army Airfield / Presidio County Airport, Marfa, TX (http://www.airfields-freeman.com/TX/Airfields_TX_BigBend.html#marfa)
Marfa South Auxiliary Army Airfield #1, Marfa, TX (http://www.airfields-freeman.com/TX/Airfields_TX_BigBend.html#marfaaux1)
Marfa Auxiliary Army Airfield #2, Aragon, TX (http://www.airfields-freeman.com/TX/Airfields_TX_BigBend.html#marfaaux2)
(Original) Marfa Airport / Marfa Auxiliary Army Airfield #7, Marfa, TX (http://www.airfields-freeman.com/TX/Airfields_TX_BigBend.html#marfaaux7)

I know, I was screwing with the paranoid wuffos.

I have never seen so many frikkin airfields, most abandoned, as Google Earth shows around Marfa. Add in the active ones in Marfa, Alpine and a few ranch strips and they have a hugely sizeable per capita runway rate in that 20 square mile area. :D

Big deal, see lights all the time. Ever since I decided I didn't need a helmet in order to spar with a pro boxer. Hey look, I see one now.................................ooh, it's pretty.

As some here might remember, I rode a dual sport motorcycle from Austin TX, the round about way back to Phoenix in 07. Took like three days of all types of roads from the free way to dirt single track out of big bend up parts of the Rio Grande..

I decided to head down towards big bend, and past Marfa. Dropped south out of on 385 down to the border and road it NW. Went up 67 at night towards marfa.
Was going to camp somewhere that night but decided to stay moving since I was feeling good.

But when I got within 20 miles of Marfa, all the electrical gear on my bike went on the fritz. GPS went down, lights on the bikes dash would flash on and off, and my headlight would work for a minute, then stop. It was a real pain to ride at night as I had to drop my speed alot to make up for the dark, light, dark, light...
I eventually stopped on some little wash out right before Marfa to see if it was something I could fix.
A border patrol blazer was the only car I saw in the 30 min I was sitting there, and they pulled over and asked if I needed help.
But he started the conversation with "having electrical problems? "
Which I replied yes and asked how he knew.
He replied.
"next town is Marfa, nothing electrical works right around here on certain nights"

I hydrated, stretched, then took off Towards Valentine, then onwards to Van Horn...

I dont know about UFOs but I do know that something down there is messing with electrical devices, and makes the hair stand on end...

To the right (east) of you on that trip is the long antenna I mentioned in a previous post. Dunno what it is but it faces south at about 45 degrees to the horizon. I could easily see something like that messing with electronics if it's a transmitter of some sort.

That doesnt really add to the mystery, thanks party pooper.

UNLESS,
BIGFEET were seen long ago operating said tower, THEN it would be worth internet talk!

Tower? This is strung along the hillsides in the middle of literal BFE. We don't need no stinkin Bigfeets. We got the US Gubbamint with hidden mystery equipment. It's a much better mystery and appeals to the X-filed conspiracy freaks so much more.

The Bigfeet manning the tower have blamed the government for years..
