I own a preban AK47S rifle in 7.62.x39 caliber purchased new in California in 1988,
with a low four digit serial number(01XX) that is up for sale.
After 30+ years of collecting many of my purchases have become "Safe Queens"
some new, unfired or lightly used, most can pass as LNIB.
This AK47S fell into that category, lightly if hardly used.
Package deal comes with 13 - metal magazines & 1- 75 rd metal drum,
sling, cleaning rod, buttstock cleaning kit tools, oil bottle and muzzle cap, no original box.
I purchased rifle with a case of 1000 round of Chinese ammo in 1988.
There are 545 rounds of ammo left, also are included in package deal.
Information about my AK47S rifle:
Purchased rifle new on the 8th of July,in 1988, has low four digit serial number, 01XX.
It's a very early import AK47S. It was most likely imported between 1985-1987.
Rifle has no manufacture markings on it like, Norinco or Polytech.
The only markings on the rifle are: AK47S 7.62X39MM below that: MADE IN CHINA
Above the trigger, import mark: IMPORTER F.T.C. WOODLAND HILLS CA
The serial number, 01XX is located on the front trunnion, bolt carrier and bolt.
Original receipt from 1988 (see pictures) Description reads Norico AK-47...
It was probably another impulse buy and I never checked carefully who was the maker was.
Early import F.T.C. Woodland Hills CA.
Maker: Made in China

Condition: Rifle is in the good condition and was seldom used, barrel, bore clean & shiny.
Wood furniture in good condition, very minor scuff marks.

2 - 40 rd metal magazines (no markings)
1 - 50 rd metal magazine (no markings)
