I started a collection of knives from Cold Steel starting Christmas 2012. All Of the knives I'm about to show are folding knives featuring Andrew Demko's "tri-ad" lock, which is basically just a super sturdy lock back. All of these knives have incredible lock up with no side to side or front to back movement. They are all also made of AUS-8a steel.

From left to right is the Rajah 2, Voyager extra large, Voyager large, Recon 1, and Mini AK-47.
All are plain edge clip point except the Rajah. The Recon and Mini AK-47 have G-10 only handle scales and teflon blade finish. The Voyager series have steel-lined grivory (zytel) handles with stone washed blade finishes. Finally the Rajah 2 has steel lined grivory handles and a bead blasted blade finish.
I usually EDC the Mini AK-47 in my front right pocket with the Recon-1 in my back left pocket as my lethal option. If I'm not armed with a firearm, or only have a pocket pistol, I've been carrying the Rajah 2 in my front right pocket and the Voyager large in my back left, with the Voyager serving as the utility blade and the Rajah as the tactical blade. The Voyager extra large usually stays in my gear bag, but sometimes I'll put in place of the Recon-1 as my tactical folder when I feel like carrying a mini-Bowie. Oh, and I'm ambidextrous in regards to knife use.
Ooh, I forgot to talk about the thumb plates. The Mini AK-47 and Rajah 2 both have a pocket waveable thumb plate. You just drag the bottom of your knife along the edge of your pocket as you withdraw the knife, and the plate catches your pocket and deploys the blade. For me it works as well as deploying an automatic knife, and really increases the capabilities of the Rajah 2 as a defensive blade. As soon as I pull it out of my pocket, its deployed and ready for use. You can go from in your pocket to ready for action much quicker than most anyone's concealed pistol draw time.
